Carla Ganiel is the Organizational Learning Officer in the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s Effective Philanthropy Group. She facilitates opportunities for learning across the foundation and supports programs in monitoring their strategies.
Previously, Carla worked at the Corporation for National and Community Service where she led performance management and evaluation capacity-building initiatives for AmeriCorps State and National, a federal grant program. Over a 20-year career in national service, she held numerous roles — from AmeriCorps member to program officer — and provided training and consultation to hundreds of nonprofit organizations on topics such as performance measurement, program theory and organizational learning.
Carla holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maine at Machias and a master’s degree in public policy and management from the University of Southern Maine.
