Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
Bread and Roses brings artists to isolated and institutionalized audiences with limited or no access to music and the performing arts. The organization produces 600 free live performances annually for 29,000 Bay Area children, teens, adults and seniors. Drawing on a diverse roster of 1,000 professional and amateur performing artists, Bread and Roses reaches more than 120 institutional facilities, such as addiction rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters, youth detention facilities, and jails. A renewal grant to Bread and Roses would enable the organization to continue to reach those members of our communities who rarely experience the benefit of live arts performances.
